Cooper Commons is a massive neighborhood with an unbelievable amount of parks, grass fields, trails, and a private pool available to all residents in the community. Located on either side of Cooper Commons are the Sunbird golf resort and the Lone Tree golf club. The Sunbird golf resort has 4,384 yards of luscious green grass and obstacles, allowing for a game up to par 66 with 18 holes. While the Lone Tree golf club has 6,894 yards of thick grass and obstacles, with par 71 and up to 18 holes. For those of you who do not like golf, there is the Veterans Oasis park only 4.5 miles from the neighborhood. This park is an outdoor recreational center with a playground, an urban fishing lake, and several trails. It also has a visitors center with pamphlets and educational programs, which teach you about the wildlife and nature in Arizona. If you are in need of shopping for food and other household necessities there is an Albertsons right outside of Cooper Commons, on the corner of Gilbert and Riggs road. Next to the Albertsons, there is a Chase bank, a Corner Store gas station, and a number of dining selections. The nearest shopping center to Cooper Commons is the Crossroads towne center, which is 5 miles away and has a wide selection of clothing and apparel stores.
